Anna "Isabelle" Grossman

Anna "Isabelle" Grossman, age 86 of West Mercer Street, Harrisville, passed away at Trinity Living Center on Thursday, August 25, 2016. Isabelle was born in Forestville on January 23, 1930 to the late Derwood H. Bell and Linnie J. Hockenberry.

On November 18, 1949 Isabelle married her husband, Humes A. Grossman, Sr., he preceded her in death in 2012. She was a homemaker and loved taking care of her children. She loved to crochet and sew. She spent hours outdoors gardening and taking care of her flowers. Isabelle especially loved her grandchildren. She was a member of the Methodist Church for nearly 40 years.

Isabelle is survived by a daughter Lisa E. Weaver and her husband Boe of Stoneboro, four sons Humes A. Grossman Jr. and his wife Marsha of Ruston, LA, Richard C. Grossman and his wife Sandy of Barkeyville, Timothy L. Grossman and his wife Carla of Waynesburg, OH, and Brian K. Grossman and his wife Kim of Harrisville, fifteen grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. She is also survived by a brother Ronald Bell of Youngsville, PA, two sisters Ruth Relfe of Deland, FL and Donna Kelly of Franklin, and numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents and husband, Isabelle was preceded in death by twin infant sons, five sisters, and one brother.

Friends are invited to West Unity Community Church, 400 Unity Rd, Harrisville, from 6 to 8 pm on Friday September 2, a memorial service will be held at the church at 11 am on Saturday September 3.
