Allen A. Shuffstall

June 5, 1932 — November 2, 2016

Allen A. Shuffstall, 84 of Franklin, passed away at 7:30 P.M. on November 2, 2016 at Sugarcreek Station where he resided the last two years.

Born in Jackson Twp., Venango County, he was a son of the late Lloyd Thomas and Vera Rose Burkhardt Shuffstall.

Over the years, Allen worked as a Union Carpenter, at Sunbeam in Meadville, a Union Iron worker, owner and operator of a trucking company and also the former owner of the Wyatville Country Store.

Allen proudly served his country in the United States Army during the Korean War.
He was a 32 Degree Mason.

Allen loved the outdoors, cutting firewood, taking care of farm animals, volunteering in the community, mowing grass, taking walks, bluegrass music and camping in his "motorhome." His grandchildren and great-grandchildren were the apple of his eye and his world revolved around them.

On July 7, 1963 he married the former Shirley L. Beatty and she preceded him in death on June 16, 2016.

Surviving are his siblings; Glenn Shuffstall and his wife Wanda of Cooperstown, Dearald Shuffstall and his wife Carol of Franklin, Pearl Elizabeth Monarch of Meadville, Iva Mae Malliard of Erie, Rosalind Fae Warrington and her husband Henry of Cochranton, Donna Burk and her husband Leonard of Cochranton, and Doris Ann Burdett and her husband Steve of Sandy Lake.

Additionally surviving is his step-son, Leonard Rice of Cooperstown; grandchildren, Jen Lytle, Angela Kiselka and Scott Rice; great grandchildren, Lacey Beers, Audrey Incorvia, Garrett Beers, Gary Kiselka III, Kaden Kiselka and Brooklynn Rice and a great-great-grandchild, Jordan Incorvia Jr.

In addition to his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Clifford Shuffstall and Wallace Shuffstall.

There will be no visitation.

Funeral arrangements entrusted to Huff Funeral Home & Cremation Services Inc., 312 W. Park St. Franklin.

A memorial service will be held at 2:00 P.M. Saturday November 12, 2016 at Donation Hill Community Church in Cochranton.

Interment will follow with full Military Honors Rendered by the V.E.T.S. Honor Guard at Cooperstown Cemetery.

A luncheon will follow committal services at the church and everyone is welcome to attend.
