Barbara Ann Greenlee

April 29, 1934 — March 17, 2011

Barbara Ann Greenlee,76, of 705 Niles Road, Franklin was reunited with her heavenly family and friends on a beautiful St. Patrick?s Day, 2011. Her passing followed a brief and mostly merciful bout with cancer.

Barb was born April 29, 1934 in Oil City to the late William and Ruth Lynam Holder, and would call Rocky Grove home to her large family for many years. She was the only female graduate of Sacred Heart Academy in 1952.

For a short time she worked at Joy Manufacturing before marrying Kenneth Greenlee on October 26, 1957. She was a dedicated wife and PTA mom who often made her children?s clothing. She delivered the News Herald before commencing what she found to be a rewarding career tending to the needs of Polk Center residents. She retired after nearly 20 years of service with many fond memories.

Barbara was most happy in the company of her children, grandchildren and siblings. She enjoyed holidays and took great pride in decorating for them, as well as tending to her yard and flower gardens. She cherished her bird feeders and went to extreme efforts to keep the bird feed for birds only. There were few crossword and jig saw puzzles that she couldn?t complete. She was an avid NASCAR fan and until this month was the family race pool scorekeeper. She enjoyed board games and a rotating card club with her family. She was known for finding humor in some of the simplest things and sharing humbling experiences with those close to her.

Left with the comfort of sharing and holding ever dear her memory are her son Dan Greenlee and his wife Jackie of West Hickory, her daughters Debbie Greenlee of Holiday, FL, Brenda Feltenberger of Raymilton and Lisa Masi of Erie. The following knew Barbara as Grandma: Nicole Worley and her husband Chuck, Michelle Greenlee both of West Hickory, Airman Dana Greenlee of Cabot, AR, Marshall Feltenberger of Raymilton and Carson Masi of Erie.
