Barbara H. Viele

Barbara H. Viele, 93 of Franklin went home to be with her Lord and Savior at 7:30 A.M. Friday July 2, 2010.
Born in Titusville on February 26, 1917, she was a daughter of Anton Sr. and Anna Ritter Brecht.
She was a woman of strong faith and a 50 year member of Christ Untied Methodist Church in Franklin and a member of the Christ Ambassadors Sunday School Class. She was also a volunteer for the Brownies and the Girl Scouts in Franklin.
Mrs. Viele was a devoted Mother, Grandmother and Great Grandmother.
She enjoyed scrapbooking, painting, baking and crafting.
She was a devoted wife of 68 years to Richard M. Viele whom she married June 10, 1940. He preceded her in Death on December 25, 2008.
She is survived by four children Linda Gibson, Puyallup, WA; Susie Andrews, Jackson, FL; Richard B. Viele, Franklin; Debbie Cozad and her husband Gary, Franklin; nine grandchildren, Kristine Gibson, Virginia; Michael Gibson and his wife Tricia, Bothell, WA; Karen Herd and her husband John, Sammamish, WA; Lori Ibach and her husband B. J., Jacksonville, FL; Marc Andrews, San Francisco, CA; Jason Viele, Oil City, Stephanie Viele, Pittsburgh; Kelly Hoover and her husband Stan of Marietta, GA; Jen Cozad, Bellefonte; six great-grandchildren, Emily Gibson and Ryan Gibson, Bothell, WA; Ashely Herd and Juliana Herd, Sammamish, WA; Hailey Ibach and Cameron Ibach, Jacksonville, FL. and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents, four brothers and three sisters.
Friends will be received on Tuesday from 2-4 & 7-9 P.M. at the Huff Chapel Inc. 312 West Park St. Franklin.
Funeral services will be held at 11 A.M. on Wednesday in the Christ United Methodist Church 1135 Buffalo St. Franklin with the Rev. David Janz, Officiating.
Interment will be in Franklin Cemetery.
