Carole A. Shull

Carole A. Shull, 77 of Franklin passed away at 9:15 P.M. Thursday May 5, 2016 at The Caring Place.

Born December 24, 1938 in Oil City, she was a daughter of the late Kenneth R. McMillen and Bertha Swarthout Etzel.

She was a graduate of Franklin High School.

Carole formerly worked as a Lab Secretary at UPMC Northwest.

She was an avid reader and enjoyed spending time with her family and friends. Carole especially adored time with her grandchildren.

When their health permitted, Carole and her husband enjoyed golfing and traveling together.
On July 26, 1958, she married William L. Shull and he survives.

Also surviving are two daughters; Kathy Urey and her husband Dave of Franklin and Koren Leto and her husband Mike of Julian; three grandchildren, Brad Foster of Pleasant Gap, and Sydney Foster and Trey Foster both of Julian; three step-grandchildren, Michael Leto of Lancaster and Jeffery Leto and Timothy Leto both of Erie.

She is additionally survived by numerous cousins, several nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews and her beloved dog Maddix.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Claudine Hagerty; a brother, Kenneth Robert McMillen Jr.; and a niece, Pamela Hagerty.

In accordance with her wishes, there will be no visitation or services.

Funeral arrangements entrusted to Huff Funeral Home & Cremation Services Inc., 312 West Park St. Franklin.
