Caroline Allison Koos, 84, of 307 S. Park St. died at 5:35 a.m. Monday November 2, 2009 at Titusville Area Hospital.
A daughter of Emil and Elizabeth Mullins Koos she was born in Franklin on November 13, 1924. She was a graduate of Franklin High School and attended college near Pittsburgh.
Miss Koos was an avid reader and historian, a member of the Venango County Historical Society and the Historic Preservation Society. She was a member of the D.A.R. For many years the Franklin Public Library has displayed a portion of her collection of metal soldiers.
She was a life member of St. John Episcopal Church.
Surviving are three cousins Hommey Thompson and Rosalie Thompson both of Maryland and William M. Thompson of Franklin. Also surviving are her friends and caregivers Linda Glass and Mary Fleeger.
Friends will be received in the Huff Chapel, 312 W. Park St. from 7-9 p.m. Tuesday. Funeral services will be held in St. John Episcopal Church, 1145 Buffalo Street at 11 a.m. Wednesday with The Rev. Holly A. Davis, rector officiating.
Committal will follow in Franklin Cemetery.
