Carolyn C. Jamison

Carolyn ?Corky? Corrin Jamison, 76, of 950 Elk Street died at 3:40 a.m. Sunday in her residence surrounded by the love of her family.



A daughter of James A. and Helen Myers Corrin she was born in Oil City on February 9, 1936. She was a 1953 graduate of Franklin High School.

She began her working career by working at Ernst Jewelry and Franklin Plastics After her children were in high school Mrs. Jamison made an entire career of part-time jobs. Some of the ones she considered more interesting were at Magisterial Court 28-3-03, Franklin Regional Medical Center and Toensmeier Adjustment Service in Oil City.



She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church in Franklin where she had served as a Trustee. She was a life member of the Beta Sigma Phi Sorority, past vice-chair of the Franklin Civic Operetta Association, a member of the Franklin Housing Authority, and the Franklin Elks Lodge #110. She had served on many school committees while her children were in school.



Corky enjoyed playing bridge, golf, bowling, reading and laughing a lot.

On March 7, 1959 she married George W. Jamison. He preceded her in death on June 27, 1996.



Surviving are a son Robert W. Jamison; a daughter Margaret Jamison-O?Polka and her husband Peter; and her granddaughter Lacey Marie Jamison all of Franklin. Also surviving are 3 cousins Helen Faller of Erie, Betty Herget of Vero Beach, FL, and Michael Richards of Tillman Island, MD; the mother of her grandchildren Martha Slocum of Franklin, and her faithful loving cat Kitty Cato.



In addition to her parents and husband she was preceded in death by her grandson Eric W. Jamison in 2006 and her brother-in-law Charles E. Jamison.

Friends will be received in the Huff Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 312 W. Park St. Franklin from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. Tuesday. Funeral services will be held in the funeral home at 11 a.m. Wednesday with the Rev. Barry Jenkins, pastor of the First Presbyterian Church officiating.



Interment will follow in Franklin Cemetery.



Memorial donations may be made to the Barrow Civic Theatre, 1223 Liberty Street, Franklin PA 16323.
