Dolores Mccracken

July 2, 1929 — February 9, 2009

Dolores McCracken, 79, formerly of Franklin died at 10:10 p.m. Monday February 9, 2009 at the Eckstein Center, Hospice of the Valley, Scottsdale, AZ. A daughter of Edward C. and Ida Wetjen Prall she was born in Franklin on July 2, 1929. She was a graduate of Franklin High School. Mrs. McCracken had worked in the meat department at Riverside Market for many years; previously she had worked at the A&P Grocery and at Joy. She taught water aerobics at the YMCA. While in Franklin she was a past president of the Franklin American Legion Auxiliary a member of the Civic League and was a Meals-on-Wheels volunteer. For the past four years she enjoyed living in sunny Mesa, AZ. While living at Springdale Village, she enjoyed playing cards and bingo. On March 6, 1965 she married Richard B.Moose� McCracken, who died March 17, 2003. Surviving are five daughters Susan Eisenklam and her husband Peter of Mesa, AZ, Kathy Farmer of Anchorage, AK, Barbara Engles and her husband Harry of Oil City, Debbie Licht of Meadville and Diane Bustard of Gray, TN; 11 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband and a sister Marjorie Brubaker. Friends will be received in the Huff Chapel, 312 W. Park St. from 7-9 p.m. Friday. Funeral services will be held in the funeral home at 11 a. Saturday with Rev. Phil Conklin, pastor of Ellwood City Church of God officiating. Interment will follow in Rockland Cemetery. The family suggests memorial donations be made to Hospice of the Valley, 1510 E. Flower St., Phoenix, AZ 85014.
