Donald E. Heller

October 18, 1939 — November 27, 2013

Donald Heller, 74, of 741 Halyday Run Rd., Oil City, passed away peacefully on November 27th, 2013, with his wife and daughter by his side.

Born October 18th, 1939 in Sugarcreek, Pennsylvania to Paul and Mildred Cox Cornelius Heller, Don attended Rocky Grove Schools and was later married to Murdeane Ann Maxwell on January 13th, 1962.

Having enlisted in the Army in 1961, Don was posted to Bad Aibling, Germany, where he and Murdeane lived for several years before moving to Massachusetts. Don continued his service in the Army in an instructional role and eventually the pair settled in Oil City in 1971, where Don took employment with UPS.

An entrepreneur at heart, Don set out with the help of his family, and in 1980 established the Pizza Factory on Rt. 257 in Seneca, where he learned the hard lesson that you can?t satisfy everybody, but he sure as hell tried. After a gross miscarriage of justice, Don started another business, Mr. Pixel Graphics, supplying printed items large and small. Never short of creative ideas, Don actively sought his family's engagement in pursuit of his dreams and endeavors. Don enjoyed the company of friends, and good conversation over a cup of coffee.

Don is survived by his wife, three children and their spouses: Tim and Amanda Heller of London, England; Danielle and Treverton Sharp of Worthington, Ohio; and Phillip and Julie Heller of Belmont, Massachusetts. He is additionally survived by two grandchildren, Kyle Heller and Katherine Sharp of Worthington, Ohio, as well as his brother Harold Heller of Franklin and sister Kay Coleman of Erie.

He is preceded in death by his parents, brothers Ken, Clarence, and Arlo, his sister Janice, and Elvis Presley.

In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting that donations be made to the American Cancer Society, 320 Bilmar Dr., Pittsburgh, PA 15205.

A private service will be held at Huff Funeral Home & Cremation Services in Franklin.

A memorial service will be held for family and friends at a later date to celebrate the life of our husband, father, brother, and friend, Don Heller.
