Dorothy Albert

Dorothy Albert, 84 formerly of 1327 Elk St., Franklin died at 6:00a.m. Monday, October 26, 2009 in UPMC Northwest at Seneca. She had been residing in The Caring Place.
She was born in Franklin on March 23, 1925 a daughter of Alvin Earl and Winifred Deeter Wood. She graduated from Franklin High School in 1943.
She was a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution.
She was a great fan of all of Pittsburgh?s sports teams, and she enjoyed gardening.
She married Hilton Dale Albert on May 20, 1954 and he died on October 21, 2006.
Surviving are two sons Thomas Hilton Albert of Erie; Ronald Alvin Albert of Huston, TX; a grandson Scott Albert with the U.S. Air Force stationed in Guam; a granddaughter Emily Albert a junior at Mercyhurst College in Erie.
She proceeded in death by her parents, her husband and a son Brian Lee Albert.
Friends will be received in the Huff Chapel, 312 W. Park St., Franklin on Thursday from 7-9 p.m. and on Friday up until time of the service.
A funeral service will be conducted in the funeral home on Friday at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. Richard Harry pastor of the First United Methodist Church in Franklin officiating.
Interment will be made in Lupher Chapel Cemetery.
The family suggests that donations be made to the local chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution.
