Dusty Renee Carter

Dusty Renee Carter, 32, of Erie, formerly of Franklin, passed way unexpectedly at 10:18 AM on Monday, September 24, 2018 at her residence.

Born in Purcell, OK on November 14, 1985 she was the daughter of Douglas Carter and Cinda Carter.

Dusty was a graduate of Rocky Grove High School, and also attended Vo-Tech for Cosmetology.

She was an avid softball and basketball player in her younger years. Dusty's two sons, Damian and Landen were her world. She had a love for animals especially her dogs, Buddy and Kilo. She also enjoyed woodworking and making crafts.

Surviving are her parents, Douglas (Marie) Carter and Cinda Carter; her sons, Damian Mikel Carter Deal and Landen Douglas Carter; maternal grandparents, Richard and Garnet Mihleder; aunts and uncles, Greg (Vickie) Carter, Wendy Garbacz, Peggy (Dave) Owens, and Jeff (Deb) Mihleder; and many cousins and beloved friends.

Dusty was preceded in death by her paternal grandparents, Russell and Virginia Carter.

Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Huff-Guthrie Funeral Home & Cremation Services Inc., 312 W. Park Street, Franklin where family and friends are welcome from 3:00 - 7:00 P.M. Friday and 11:00 A.M. - 12:00 P.M. Saturday.

A funeral service will be held at 12:00 PM Saturday at the funeral home chapel with Pastor Gary Atkinson of Grace United Methodist Church officiating.

Interment will follow at Lamey Cemetery.
