E. Elaine Jacoby

E. Elaine Jacoby, 79, of Patchel Run Road, Franklin, passed away at 2:25 p.m., Friday, November 8, 2019 at Sugarcreek Station, surrounded by her loving family.

Born November 3, 1940 in the Franklin Area, she was the daughter of the late Chalmers W. and ZeEttha DeEtta White.

She was married January 24, 1959 to the late Donald R "Jake" Jacoby who preceded her in death on April 23, 2009.

She was a homemaker, but worked several jobs throughout the years at Bakers Transportation, Buyers Fair, The Caring Place, and Head Start. She also was a Nanny for a local family.

Elaine was an active member at the Worden Chapel UMC where she could always be found in the kitchen cooking for any number of church and community functions, she was well known for her great cooking talent. She loved researching her family's genealogy, feeding the neighborhood kids, and spending time her beloved family. She especially enjoyed the family vacations in Benezette, PA, viewing the Elk and wildlife. She was an animal lover and took over running the family farm after the death of her husband, Donny.

Mrs. Jacoby was preceded in death by her husband of 50 years, Donald R. Jacoby, her daughter Karla RuEtta, and her parents, and a special niece Wendy Lea Wier.

Mrs. Jacoby is survived by a son, Timothy Jacoby and wife Deb of Jackson Center, 3 daughters, Dawna Dulaney and husband Shawn of Franklin, Susan Shevitz and husband Mike of Franklin, and Sheila Junk, of Franklin.

She is also survived by 25 grandchildren, Jared Jacoby and wife Jessica of Grove City, Nathan Jacoby and wife Lacie of Franklin, Jeremiah Dulaney and wife Aubrey of Greensburg, Captain Joshua Dulaney and wife Stephanie of Franklin, currently stationed at Fort Benning, GA, Brian Gisewhite and wife Shasta of Centerville, Corporal Quentin Shevitz and wife Samantha of Franklin, Captain Jacob Shevitz, and wife Debra of Franklin, currently stationed at Fort Bragg, N.C., Jace Junk and his friend Bria Bevier of Franklin, Austie Junk of Franklin, Katie Hanna and husband Clay of Barkeyville, Kelly Beach and husband Derek of Jackson Center, Ben Geibel of Detroit, MI, and two adopted Grandsons, Matheaus Tschege of San Paulo, Brazil and Nethaj "Ronnie" Ranaweera and wife Erin of San Antonio, TX, and 13 Great-Grandchildren.

She is also survived by a brother Zora DeWayne "Butch" White and wife Susan of Franklin, two Sisters in Laws, Judy Lusher and Grace Solle of Franklin, and numerous nieces and nephews.

The family wishes to gratefully acknowledge the wonderful love and care from the Staff at Sugarcreek Station these last few years, especially the 300 hall Nurses and aids who lovingly call Mom their "Lainy-bug".

There will be no visitation.
Funeral arrangements entrusted to Huff-Guthrie Funeral Home & Cremation Services Inc., 312 West Park St. Franklin, Pa.

A graveside service will be held on Wednesday at 2:00 P.M. in Franklin Cemetery on Rocky Grove Avenue with Pastor Jim Walker, officiating. Mrs. Jacoby will be laid to rest beside her beloved husband and daughter.

The family invites anyone who wishes to attend the service the family is aware of the inclement weather that might keep some away, but they wish to also invite those individuals to attend the Funeral Dinner immediately following the service at the Worden Chapel UMC on Keeley Road.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations to be made to Sugarcreek Station Resident Fund or Precious PAWS Animal Rescue.
