Edward C. Grossman Sr., 76, of Boyers died Sunday morning, January 3, 2016 at his home.

A son of John and Mary Hockenberry Grossman Sr. he was born in Cherry Township, Butler County on April 23, 1939.

He was Presbyterian.

He had worked as a high lift operator for Mercer Limestone Co.

After his retirement he enjoyed sitting by the burn barrel listening to old classic country music, visiting with friends and watching the Walton's with his wife, Linda.

In 1964 he married the former Linda Galla; she preceded him in death on December 19, 2015.

Surviving are four children; Edward C. Grossman Jr. and his girlfriend Leigh of Slippery Rock, James Grossman and his wife Amy of Boyers, Daniel L. Grossman and his wife Mindy of Petrolia, and Nancy Grossman Giles and her boyfriend Paul Ames of Columbus, OH.
Also surviving are 12 grandchildren; Edward C. Grossman III of Washington D.C., Tara Sanderson and her husband Brad of Pittsburgh, Brad Grossman of Grove City, Kristen Grossman of Poland, OH, Megan Ferguson and her husband Mitch, Matthew Grossman, Hunter Grossman all of Boyers, Amanda Grossman, Danielle Grossman, Louie Grossman all of Petrolia, Cameron Giles and Tyler Giles both of Columbus, OH; and a great-grandchild Tritton Felsing. Also surviving is a brother Robert Grossman of Branchton.

In addition to his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by 7 brothers and a sister.

At Mr. Grossman's request there will be no public visitation or services.

Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Jamison Funeral Home.
