Elizabeth A.Ann� Phillips 84 of 123 Miller Rd. Franklin died on Saturday December 11, 2010 at her residence.
Born in Franklin on January 7, 1926 she was a daughter of the late Dennis and Tressa Liken Donohue.
She was a graduate of Franklin High School and attended Indiana University of Pennsylvania and Grove City College.
Ann enjoyed gardening and spending time outdoors.
She enjoyed volunteering her time at the Venango County Humane Society, the Franklin Public Library and at various other community and civic organizations. She was a strong supporter of the Barrow Civic Theater in Franklin.
Mrs. Phillips was of Methodist Faith and formerly attended First United Methodist Church in Franklin.
She was married on August 5, 1959 to George A. Phillips, who preceded her in death on October 27, 2001.
Surviving are three sons, Christopher Phillips and his wife Diane of Destin, FL; Luke Phillips of Franklin; and Russell K. Biltz of Norwalk, CT; four daughters, Amy Holcomb and her husband Glenn of Newtown, CT; Polly Pluck and her husband John of Ashland, MA; Beth Prorok and he husband Daniel of Franklin; and Karen Lynn Biltz of Polk; 11 grandchildren, Missy Phillips, Russell Phillips of Polk, Michael Phillips of Clarion, Sean Holcomb and Casey Holcomb of Newtown, CT; Nelle Pluck and Una Pluck of Ashland, MA; Sarah Prorok, Maggie Prorok, Hanna Prorok, and Dylan Prorok all of Franklin. She is also survived by several great grandchildren and a number of nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a son, George Phillips, a daughter Sally Phillips, a grandson Eddie Phillips, a sister Mary Margaret Allio and a brother William Donohue.
Friends will be received on Wednesday from 5:30 7:30 P.M. at the Huff Chapel Inc., 312 West Park St. Franklin. Funeral services will follow at 7:30 P.M. in the funeral home with the Rev. Richard Harry, Pastor of the First United Methodist Church, Franklin Officiating.
Interment will be at Barkeyville Cemetery.
