Florence I. Scriven

Florence I. Scriven, 89 of Franklin passed away peacefully into her Savior's arms at 1:00 P.M. Tuesday May 3, 2016 at The Caring Place in Franklin.

Born February 17, 1927 in Wesley, Wolf Creek Twp. she was a daughter of the late Howard and Leona Coulter Kilgore.

She attended Rocky Grove High School.

Florence worked for 14 years at the former Franklin Plastic Company and then at the former Franklin Hospital for 20 years in the housekeeping department retiring in 1989.

She attended the Fox Street Church of God.

Florence enjoyed gardening and helping other people in any way that she could.
On June 11, 1948 she married Harold P. Scriven and he preceded her in death on February 1, 1980.

Surviving is a daughter; Susan Schroeter and her husband Kevin of Mukilteo, WA; three grandchildren, Sarah Schroeter Todrick and her husband Michael of St. Augustine, FL, Rebekah Schroeter and Christina Schroeter of Mukilteo, WA; a great grandson, Charles Todrick; two brothers, Paul Kilgore and his wife Joann and Donald Kilgore and his wife Sue; a sister in law, Peg Kilgore and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, four sisters, Ruth O'Neil , Mary Updyke, Grace O'Neil and Alice Beatty and two brothers, Robert James Kilgore and Lawrence Kilgore.

Funeral arrangements entrusted to Huff Funeral Home & Cremation Services Inc., 312 West Park St. Franklin where family and friends are welcome from 10:00 A.M. until 12:45 P.M. Friday.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 P.M. on Friday in the funeral home chapel with Rev. Joseph Martin, Pastor of the Cooperstown United Methodist Church, officiating.

Interment will follow at Mt. Irwin Cemetery.
