Frances E. "Sis" Carson

Frances E. "Sis" Carson, 67, of Oil City, passed away unexpectedly at her residence on Saturday March 30, 2019.

Born in Franklin on November 15, 1951, she was the daughter of the late Paul and Norma Terry Shaughnessy.

Sis was a 1969 graduate of Franklin High School and worked at C and S Vending then worked a number of years at First National Bank of PA in Franklin.

She enjoyed spending time with her grandbabies, shopping, crafts, Nascar and was an avid fan of Jimmie Johnson.

On July 2, 2005 she married David Carson and he survives.

Also surviving are two sons; Travis Vogan and his girlfriend Lucy Porter of Oil City, Kevin Vogan and his wife Jess of Oil City; a brother, Rev. Terry Shaughnessy of Cochranton; two stepsons, Greg Vogan and his wife Danielle of Moon Twp., and Scott Vogan of Oil City; four grandchildren, Drake and Parker Vogan and Brea and Nicholas Vogan; four step-grandchildren, Donte, Jamison, Grayson, and Asher.

Additionally surviving are two sister-in-laws, Cindy Neely and her two children Adam and Courtney and Cathy Fink and her husband James; one brother in law, Ken Vogan and his wife Galla, numerous nieces and nephews and her special friend of 42 years, Mary Elaine Ray.

She was preceded in death by her parents and her late husband, Larry Vogan.

Funeral arrangements entrusted to Huff- Guthrie Funeral Home & Cremation Services Inc., 312 West Park St. Franklin where family and friends are welcome from 4:00 - 7:00 P.M. Wednesday.

A funeral service will be held at 7:00 P.M. Wednesday in the funeral home chapel with her brother Rev. Terry Shaughnessy, officiating.

Interment will be made at a later date at the convenience of the family.
