Franklin Edwin "Ted" Bair

Franklin Edwin "Ted" Bair Jr., 95, of Jonesborough, TN formerly of Cooperstown, passed away early Tuesday morning March 22, 2016 in Tennessee.

Born November 18, 1920 in Polk, PA, he was a son of the late Franklin Edwin Bair Sr. and Edith Jones Bair.

He was a 1934 graduate of Franklin High School. Until 2010, Ted resided at home in Cooperstown and then moved to Jonesborough, TN with his daughter, Lynnea.

On August 30, 1945 he married the former Lillian Bjork and she preceded him in death on January 3, 1979. Ted met his late wife while working with the radio evangelist, Lewis Paul Lehmann in 1945. The couple settled in Franklin in 1950 and Ted began a 31 year career at the former
Chicago Pneumatic Tool Company.

Over the years, Ted was known for his musical contributions to the community. He formerly served as the minister of music for the First Baptist Church and Christian Missionary Alliance Church, both in Franklin.

Surviving are two daughters; Lynnea Fisher and her husband James of Jonesborough, TN and Charlotte Brown and her husband Curt of Columbus, OH; five grandchildren, Elin Fisher of Boone, NC, Kristin Newby and her husband Peter of Forest, VA, Andrew Fisher and his wife Jennifer of Gray, TN, Corey Brown and his wife Heidi of Lancaster, OH, and Cara Clay and her husband Donnie of Pickerington, OH. Additionally surviving are eight great-grandchildren, Rowen Todd, Katrina Newby, Connor Newby, Stella Mae Fisher, Lillian Fisher, Hannah Brown, Cameron Brown and Nori Clay.

In addition to his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by a brother, James Bair.

Funeral arrangements are entrusted to Huff Funeral Home & Cremation Services Inc., 312 West Park St. Franklin, PA.

Family and friends are welcome from 1:00 PM -2:00 PM Saturday, April 2 at the Christian Missionary Alliance Church, 1200 Otter Street Franklin, PA 16323.

Funeral services will follow at 2:30PM. Church Pastor Rev. Scott Woodlee, and Pastor Greg Beeman officiating.

Interment will follow at Franklin Cemetery.
