He was a graduate of Central Catholic High School Pittsburgh, PA and also a graduate of Duquesne University Pittsburgh, PA with a BA degree.

He was a retired self-employed Financial Planner.

He was a former member of the Church of Beloved Disciple Grove City, PA
�
He was a member of an Elks Lodge in Florida, he was a former member of the Knights of Columbus in Grove City, PA, a former member of Mercer Moose Lodge, a former member of the Grove City Country Club, a former golfer, and he enjoyed reading.
�
He was a U.S. Navy veteran during WWII serving in the south pacific.
�
He was married to LaVerne A. (Degenhardt)Seifert on August 21, 1948 and she died on July 11, 1991.
�
Survivng are two sons George D. Seifert and his wife Dottie-Debary, FL and Dr. Raymond D. Seifert and his wife Dr. Carol Seifert-Gibsonia, PA and four Grandchildren

He was preceded in death by his parents and wife.

A Memorial Service will be held at 1:00 P.M. Saturday January 26, 2013 at the Funeral Home with Rev. Michael P. Allison of the Church of Beloved Disciple officiating.
