Gladys M. Orsega Eichholtz

Gladys M. Orsega Eichholtz, 94, of Gurney Road, Franklin died at 9:25 p.m. Saturday, February 2, 2013 at the Caring Place.

A daughter of Ferdinand and Lettie Manson Wilkins she was born August 31, 1918 in Franklin. She was a 1936 graduate of Franklin High School. She then received her diploma from Feller?s Beauty School in Oil City.

Mrs. Orsega had worked for several area beauty shops in the area. She had worked for ten years at the Charlayne Shop.

She was a member of the First Church of God. She was a former member of the Order of Eastern Star and was a member of the Beta Sigma Phi Sorority. She enjoyed playing bridge and working crossword puzzles.

On May 23, 1940 she married Michael R. Orsega, he preceded her in death on January 2, 1991. She was married to John W. Eichholtz on November 7, 1998 and he died September 8, 2011.

Surviving are two daughters Kay Curran and her husband Harry and Leslie Smith and her husband Eugene both of Franklin; four grandchildren Michael Curran of Franklin, Andrew Curran and his wife Meggan of Pittsburgh, Jason Smith of San Francisco, CA and Jessica Smith of Pittsburgh; a great-grandson Riley Douglas Curran of Pittsburgh. Also surviving are a brother Kenneth Wilkins and his wife Mary Lou of Rock Hill, SC and a sister Connie Baker and her husband Clair of Washington, PA and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents and husbands she was preceded in death by a sister Pauline Bennett and two brothers Billy and John Wilkins.

Friends will be received in the Huff Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 312 W. Park St. from 1-3 p.m. Tuesday. Funeral services will be held in the funeral home at 3:00 p.m. with the Rev. James Leichliter, pastor of the First Church of God officiating.

Interment will follow in Rockland Cemetery.
