Harriet W. Shuffstall

Harriet W. Shuffstall, 73, of 6075 St. Rt. 308, Kennerdell, died at 1:07 p.m. Thursday September 13, 2012 at Sugar Creek Station.

Born in Oil City on January 24, 1939, she was the daughter of the late Harry and Jane Moon Swanson.

Harriet was a 1957 graduate of Oil City High School. After high school she attended nanny school in Erie. She worked for a period of time as a nanny before working at Polk Center in the dietary department and later at Grandview Nursing Home in Franklin.

She attended Mount Carmel Church.

Harriet loved children and especially enjoyed taking care of her children and grandchildren.

On December 31, 1959, she married Glenn T. Shuffstall who survives.

Also surviving are seven children, Leroy Shuffstall of Franklin, Pat Watson and her husband Jack of Conneaut Lake, Ron Shuffstall and his wife Cathy of Cooperstown, Jim Shuffstall of Utica, Roshelle ?Shelly? Hamilton and her husband Randy of Wesley, Jeff Shuffstall and his wife Gina of Cooperstown and Craig Shuffstall of Polk, 17 grandchildren, 20 great grandchildren, a twin brother Harry Swanson of Titusville and three sisters; Helen Smith of Cambridge Springs, Eva Crocker and her husband Don of Titusville and Ruth Hayes of Franklin. Also surviving is a half- brother Walter Slater of Texas.
She was preceded in death by her half-sister Dixie Huff and a half-brother Tracy Slater.

Friends will be received at Huff Funeral Home & Cremation Services Inc. 312 West Park St. Franklin from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. Saturday. Funeral services will be held in the funeral home at 2 p.m. Sunday with Rev. Jimmy D. Arbogast pastor of Mt. Carmel Church and Rev. Glenn Walker pastor of the Donation Hill Bible Church officiating.

Interment will follow in Cooperstown Cemetery.
