Howard E. Smith

Howard E. Smith, 67, of Harrisville, died at 11:45 p.m. Friday March 13, 2015 at Grove City medical Center.

A son of Walter and Mildred Michaels Smith he was born in Marion Township on June 12, 1947.
He was a logger.

"Dad" was a family man enjoying outdoor activities with his family, particularly cookouts. He enjoyed working on cars, watching westerns and playing jokes on family and friends.

On December 2, 2000 he married the former Sandra L. Toy; she survives along with six children Debra Smith, Charlie Smith, Scott Smith, Jamie Toy, Lois Smith and Raymond Smith.

Also surviving are five grandchildren, Nicole Smith, Logan Smith, Raila Moore, Christopher Shealy and Zane Wiles.

He was preceded in death by his parents, a grandson Alex Moore, and a sister Shirley Ann Hedglin.

Memorial services will be held in the Jamison Funeral Home, 117 N. Main St., Harrisville at 7 p.m. Sunday.
