Inez H Fisher

Inez H. Fisher passed from this life to her eternal life march 4, 2014. Born on March 17, 1930, she was the daughter of Edwin O. and Helen Heckathorn Hughes. Inez married the love of her life, Howard L. Fisher, on June 25, 1949. He passed into Heaven on August 21, 2010 where they are now united. Inez and Howard had two children, Edwin F. Fisher, who was killed in action in Vietnam on April 17, 1971 and Cyndi F. Smith.

Inez graduated from Rocky Grove High School in 1948 after which she attended beauty school in New Castle. She worked as a beautician in Franklin until her marriage.

Inez was the perfect example of what God intended a wife and help meet to be. She was actively involved with her husband in Bon Air Farm, Howard Fisher Builder and serving with World Gospel Mission. Inez overcame her fear of flying to obtain her pilot?s license to share with Howard his joy of flying. She and Howard traveled extensively, both for pleasure and while serving God in missions. She especially enjoyed her visits with the Maasi in Kenya, Africa.

Inez was a gracious and generous hostess, opening her home and her heart to anyone who entered. She enjoyed quilting and painting with water colors as well as creating beautiful wreaths to give to all her neighbors. She was always active in church wherever she and Howard lived.

Inez is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Cyndi and Jack Smith; four grandchildren Jodi (Rob) Hoover, Steve (Rachael) Smith, Charlie Smith and Sarah (Logan) Rink; and ten grandchildren, Keegan, Ethan, Ellie, Sam, Brandon, Paige, Camden, Parker, Isabelle and Charlie. Two sisters Edwina (Jim) Jacobs and June (Paul) Bell; brother-in-law Fred (Peggy) Fisher and many nieces and nephews also survive.

Friends will be received in the Huff Funeral Home & Cremation Services Inc., 312 W. Park St., Franklin from 3-7 p.m. Friday. There will be visitation from 1-2 p.m. Saturday in the Bethel United Methodist Church, 2656 State Route 417, Franklin. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. with the Rev. Joseph P. Martin, pastor, officiating.

Interment will follow in the Bethel Cemetery.
