J. Robert Fogo

J. Robert Fogo, 92, of Utica, passed away unexpectedly on Saturday October 13, 2018 at UPMC Presbyterian in Pittsburgh.

Born on June 29, 1926 in Center Twp., Columbiana County OH, Bob was the son of the late Joseph R. and Myra A. Halverstadt Fogo.

Bob worked for many years as a surveyor throughout Northwest Pennsylvania. He was a pilot and owned and operated his own plane which he would occasionally use for aerial surveying.

He loved to hunt and fish and spend time outdoors on his property. Bob's favorite thing to do was ride his "Buggy" to the pond he and his father built and he would spend hours there with his beloved wife, Lillian.

He served his country in the United States Army.

Bob will always be remembered as a kind and gentle man who loved to make people laugh.
On November 8, 2002, Bob married Lillian C. Mahoney and she survives.

Also surviving is a sister; Eloise Fogo of Arlington, VA; four children; James Shook and his wife Cathy of Cary, NC, Faith Dechant and her husband Kevin of Franklin, Dale Mahoney of Slippery Rock and Linda Midock of Tucson, AZ; 13 grandchildren, Anna Godfrey (Jason Runkel), Charity Godfrey (Jason Tracy), Benjamin Dechant (Elisha), Phillip Dechant ( Lindsey), Aaron Dechant (Amanda Wentworth), Daniel Dechant (Mikaela Inforzato), Matthew Shook (Katrina), Cory Michael Shook , Tammy Tucker, Nicole Huffman (Matthew), Aaron Shook, Bonnie Shook - SA (Gustavo), and Rachael Shook.

Funeral arrangements entrusted to Huff- Guthrie Funeral Home & Cremation Services Inc., 312 West Park St. Franklin where family and friends are welcome from 4:00 P.M. - 6:00 P.M. Wednesday.

A funeral service will be held at 11:00 A.M. Thursday in Lupher Chapel United Methodist Church, Old Route 322 Franklin, PA 16323 with Rev. Karen Kostur, officiating.

Interment will be at Lupher Chapel Cemetery.
