Jack D. Edwards

Jack D. Edwards, 84, of Harrisville died at 10:45 p.m. Saturday March 14, 2015 at Autumn Grove Care Center.

A son of Burley and Florence Henry Edwards he was born in Fairfield, OH on September 27, 1930.

Mr. Edwards was a veteran of the United States Army serving in Germany during World War II.
He owned and operated Jack Edwards Sales & Service, a automotive machine shop and garage, fashioning and repairing automotive and farm machinery. He also sold parts and for a time provided wrecker service.

Jack attended the Barkeyville United Methodist Church. He enjoyed racing cars and scraping.
In December 1950 he married the former Jo Ann Snouffer, she survives. Also surviving are 7 children Connie (Herb) West of Pittsfield, Cheryl (Russell) Dunlap , Jack (Marybeth) Edwards II, Ray Edwards and Jim (Mae Lynne) Edwards all of Harrisville, Rick (Deena) Edwards of Greenville. and Bill (Amber) Edwards of Boyers; 13 grandchildren Matt, Mike, Mitch, and Mason West, Jason Dunlap, Adria Good, Heather Pape, Ashley Trainque, Brandy Grossman, Amanda and Sami Edwards, Billie Paige Edwards and Abby Edwards; 19 great-grandchildren Dakota, Danielle and Dacia West, Kyle, Alaina, Emma, Seth, and Nolan Dunlap, Tyler, Luke, Hannah, and Jake Good, Adam Grossman, Jebedia and Kameron Pape, Kennedy, Taylor, Ethan, and Aden West. Also surviving are a sister Norma Morton and 2 brothers Burley Edwards Jr. and Kenneth Edwards.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a brother Lester Eugene Edwards.
Friends will be received in the Jamison Funeral Home, 117 N. Main St. Harrisville from 5-8 p.m. Tuesday.

Funeral services will be conducted in the Barkeyville United Methodist Church at 2 p.m. Wednesday with the Rev. Stephanie Thompson, United Methodist pastor, officiating.

Interment will follow in Prairie Cemetery.
