JoAnn L. Confer, 73 of Grove City, passed away on July 21, 2017 at Butler Memorial Hospital. JoAnn was born on August 24, 1943 to the late Augustine and Ethel Mae Batley Fabry. She married her husband James H. Confer Sr. on September 26, 1964, he preceded her in death on November 13, 1993.

JoAnn worked as a housekeeper for many years at Grove Manor in Grove City. She was a longtime member of Scotch Hill Presbyterian Church. JoAnn loved to go dancing, listen to country western music, and going to yard sales. She especially loved spending time with her children, grandchildren, and great-granddaughters.

JoAnn is survived by her three children, Laura and her husband John Poole II of Barkeyville, James Confer Jr. and his wife Sherry of Branchton, and Kimberly Kelly and her husband Patrick of Grove City, three grandchildren, James Confer III and his companion Meranda of Saxonburg, Samantha Wilson and her husband Todd of Grove City, and Hannah Confer of Branchton, two great-grandchildren, Sophia and Lydia Confer of Saxonburg, one brother David Fabry and his wife Kelly of Harrisville, one sister Jean McClung of Hendersonville, her best friend and companion, David Smathers of Grove City, and numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, JoAnn was preceded in death by her sister Virginia Bestwick and her brother Jay Stillwagon Jr.

Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Jamison Funeral Home, Inc.

Funeral services will be private.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in JoAnn's name to Shriners Hospital for Children, 1645 W 8th St, Erie, PA 16505
