Judith B. Scialabba, 65, of Beachwood Boulevard, Butler, formerly of Harrisville, died at 8:37 p.m. Tuesday at Allegheny General Hospital, Pittsburgh, with her family by her side. Born in Pittsburgh, June 15, 1944, she was the daughter of John L. "Jack" McCool and Drusilla A. "Dolly" Coffin McCool. She and her husband had owned and operated the Spillway Bar and Lounge on Oneida Valley Road, Butler. Upon graduating from Slippery Rock High School in 1962, she worked for the superintendent of Grove City School District. She later worked for the secretary of U.S. Steel in Pittsburgh, and later she was one of the first employees of General Electric in Grove City. Surviving are her husband, Donald N. Scialabba, who she married April 30, 1974; a son, Jonathan P. Scialabba and his wife, Katrah, of Butler; her mother, Dolly McCool of Grove City; stepchildren, Susan McQuillan and her husband, Arthur, of Newberry, Fla., Sharon Scialabba of Sun Valley, Calif., and Michael Scialabba and his wife, Laura, of Orlando, Fla.; five grandchildren, Stella and Jude Scialabba, A.J. and Alyson McQuillan and Fia Scialabba; and two brothers, John L. McCool and his wife, Bonnie, of Grove City and Gary E. McCool of Harrisville. She was preceded in death by her father. SCIALABBA - Friends of Judith B. Scialabba, who died Tuesday, April 27, 2010, may call from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday at Jamison Funeral Home, 117 N. Main St., Harrisville. A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Monday at the funeral home with the Rev. A. James Lewis of Branchton United Methodist Church officiating. Burial will be at Prairie Cemetery, Harrisville.
