June Audine Carey Clark

June Audine Carey Clark, 89 of Rocky Grove, passed away peacefully at 8:39 P.M. Saturday March 14, 2015 at her residence and surrounded by her family.

Born August 15, 1925 in Franklin, she was a daughter of the late Vance and Clara Crawford Carey.

Mrs. Clark attended Franklin and Valley Grove Schools.

She worked as a waitress at the former Sykes Café, and then Polk Center for 20 years as a Resident Aide retiring in December of 1987.

June was a true matriarch; she was a great source of strength for her family through the years. She enjoyed spending time with her family and will always be remembered for her loving, generous spirit. She was dearly loved by all who knew her.

She enjoyed gardening, crocheting clothing and gifts and traveling with family,

On February 22, 1941 she married Wayne H. Clark and he preceded her in death on January 31, 2000.

Surviving are seven children; Howard Clark of Franklin, Barbara Clark Wygant and her husband Thomas of Stoneboro, Thomas Clark of Franklin, Suzan Clark of Franklin, Patricia Clark Hoover of Oil City, Donald Clark and his wife Kimberly of Reno, and Christina Clark McAninch and her husband Richard of Franklin; one sister, Anna Carey Green of Franklin; a brother, William Carey of Cooperstown; 16 grandchildren; 35 great-grandchildren, and 17 great-great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a daughter; Beverly M. Sloss; two brothers; Jay Carey and Donald Carey; a grandson, Jeffrey Sloss and a granddaughter, Debbie Lee Morrison Denny and a great-grandson, Heath M. O'Neil.

Family and friends are welcome from 2:00 - 4:00 & 6:00 - 8:00 PM Tuesday at Huff Funeral Home & Cremation Services Inc. 312 West Park St. Franklin.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM Wednesday in the funeral home chapel with Rev. Mark Rusnak, Aseracare Chaplain, officiating.

Interment will follow at Old Sandy Cemetery.
