June E. DeLong, 75 of Franklin went to be with her Lord and Savior at 9:00 A.M. on Sunday January 5, 2014 at Sugar Creek Station.



Born March 21, 1938 in Butler, PA. She was the daughter of the late Clifford and Ellen ?Susie? Moorehead Deely Weltner.



She was a graduate of Cranberry Area High School. Following graduation, she was employed at Exchange Bank & Trust Co.



Mrs. DeLong was a devoted mother and grandmother and took those jobs very seriously. She loved spending time with her children and grandchildren.



June was a woman of faith and was very dedicated to her church. She served as a Deaconess at the First Church of God at Seventh St. in Franklin and was also a member of the church choir. Mrs. DeLong and her late husband previously served as youth directors at the church. She also enjoyed attending church camp at Camp Sonrise Mountain.



Mrs. DeLong enjoyed bowling and was a member of the Monday night ladies bowling league.



On August 3, 1958 she married Richard A. ?Dick? DeLong and he preceded her in death on March 17, 2008.



Surviving are four children, twins Garry L. DeLong and Larry L. DeLong and his wife Tara, Terry A. DeLong & companion, Latricia Denny, all of Franklin, and Heidi McCachren and her husband Greg of Dover; 15 grandchildren, Garry Lee II and Ali DeLong and Shane Lindsey, Betsy Jo and Tyler DeLong, Monique Byers and her husband George, Rachel, Rebecha, and Conner DeLong all of Franklin, Kayla, Lacy, and Joshua Harbaugh of Dover and Kayla and Kyle McCachren of Dover; eight great-grandchildren and one great-grandchild who is expected in the next few days.



Also surviving is a brother, Howard Weltner and his wife Virginia of Franklin; four sister-in-laws, Phyllis Weltner, Donagene DeLong, and Patricia Eakin all of Franklin, and Marjorie Weltner of Florida; two special extended family members, Thomas Shiner Sr. and his wife Judy of Franklin; and, many nieces and nephews.



In addition to her parents and husband she was preceded in death by three brothers; Frank Weltner, Robert Weltner, & Donald A. Weltner; her step-mother, Bernice Weltner; three brother-in-laws, Basil DeLong, Herb Warham and Wayne Eakin; two sister-in-laws, June DeLong and Lorraine Warham; and the fiancée of Garry DeLong, Kirsten Jo Wierbinski.



There will be no visitation.



A memorial service will be held on Saturday, January 18, 2014, at 1 p.m. at the First Church of God at Seventh St. in Franklin. Pastor James Leichliter will officiate.



Interment will be made at Graham Cemetery in the spring.



The date and time will be announced at a later date at the family?s request.



June?s family would like to extend their heartfelt gratitude to the entire staff and June?s ?extended family? at Sugar Creek Station for the wonderful care and friendship she received there during her stay.
