June Joyce Lake, 89, of Florida, passed away on Dec 30, 2017 at St Cloud Medical Center in St Cloud FL.

Born June 13, 1928 in Pittsburgh, she was the daughter of the late Patrick and Lydia Green Joyce.

On June 28, 1947 she married to Dale Braden Lake and he preceded her in death on Friday, October 19, 2012.

She and Dale were married for 65 years. During their marriage they traveled extensively throughout the USA and the world. Favorite trips were to Ireland, birth place of her father, and to Beijing China, to attend the wedding of her eldest grandson, where she & Dale walked on the Great Wall of China.

She was a wonderful homemaker who supported her husband and kids in all of their many endeavors.

She liked to sew, including making the wedding gown for one of her daughters. She also enjoyed knitting and embroidery.

After her children were grown, she went back to school and received a Bachelor's degree in gerontology from Western Michigan University
In younger years she was a member of the Eastern Star Chapter in Amityville, New York, serving as worthy matron during the early 1960's
She was a member of the United Methodist Church, Dundee, Florida
Surviving are her Children: David (Ione) Lake of Kalamazoo, Michigan, Christine (Randy) Shaw of Franklin, PA, Kathy (Jim Wend) Lake of Milwaukee, WI, Rick (Janet) Lake of Phoenix, AZ and Doug Lake of St Cloud, FL; eight grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren, with two more expected this year; two sisters - Naomi McCracken and Patsy LeBarbara; numerous nieces and nephews

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband and two sisters, Ruth Choffel and Edith Pasikoski and two brothers, Raymond Joyce and Paul Joyce

Memorial contributions can be made to the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society or the Barrow-Civic Theatre.

A memorial service will be held at Kingsley Cemetery Townville, Pa at the convenience of the family.

Local funeral arrangements entrusted to Huff Funeral Home & Cremation Services Inc., 312 W. Park St. Franklin.
