Kenneth Carson

Kenneth Lee Carson, 67 of 768 Bowman Rd., Oakland Twp., passed away Friday at his home and went on to be with his Lord and Savior.

Born February 21, 1945 in Franklin, he was a son of the late Harold (Pete) E. and Hazel W. Hart Carson.

He was a truck driver and drove most recently for Fisher & Father.

Mr. Carson was actively involved with the Oakland United Methodist Church. He was a member of the Gold Wing Riders Association and a former member of the Oakland Township Volunteer Fire Department where he served in many different capacities over the years.

Ken enjoyed working with youth and was active in Venango County 4-H Clubs and served as Fair Director for many years. He enjoyed camping, hunting, fishing, grilling, woodworking and welding. He also loved spending time with his family and friends, especially his grandchildren.

On March 22 1965, he married the former Verna A. Gage, and she survives.

Also surviving are three children; Kent M. Carson and his wife Jeannine of Atlanta, GA, Kevin J. Carson and his wife Shelley of Des Moines, IA and Kaylene S. Say and her husband Scott of Meadville; 13 grandchildren, Vannessa Carson, Isaac Carson and his wife Morgan, Andrew Carson, Sasha Diederich and her husband Will, Nathaniel Carson, Jacob Carson, Zaya Carson, Karis Carson, Katie Say, Ellary Carson, Ryder Say, Hope Carson and Adelyn Carson; two sisters, Wilma Sutley and Nancy Barger both of Franklin; and two brothers Albert Carson of Franklin and Norman Carson and his wife Lois of Titusville.
He also assisted in the upbringing of his brother-in-law, Eugene Martin and his sister-in-law, Ruth Martin Clark.

He is additionally survived by a number of loving nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by an infant brother, Chester Carson.

Family and friends are welcome Monday from Noon ? 4:00 P.M. & 5:00 ? 8:00 P.M. at Huff Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Inc. 312 West Park St. Franklin. Visitation will also be held Tuesday from 11:00 A.M. ? 1:00 P.M. at the Oakland United Methodist Church, 1431 SR. 428 Oil City, PA 16301.

Funeral Services will be held at 1:00 P.M. Tuesday in the church with Rev. Dr. Edward P. Saxman and Pastor Eugene E. Martin, officiating.

Interment will follow in Bethel Cemetery.
