Lawrence Dale Phillips

Lawrence Dale Phillips, 75, of Franklin passed away at his residence on Wednesday September 14, 2016.

Born October 13, 1940 in Franklin, he was a son of the late Clarence A. and Ruth A. Bacher Phillips.

He was a graduate of Franklin High School.

Mr. Phillips was a longtime owner of the former Phillips Brothers Printing in Franklin. He then worked a number of years at Reagle Printing in Franklin and most recently he worked 8 years at the Franklin Get Go, retiring in March of 2016.

Dale was a well-known guitar player and vocalist who performed with many local bands. He loved his Harley Davidson and attending various bike shows. Dale was an avid NASCAR fan with his favorite driver being Jeff Gordon. He also enjoyed planting and gardening around his house.
Dale was very active with all of his grandchildren and always made it a point to attend their various sporting events.

Dale attended Christ United Methodist Church in Franklin.

Surviving are three children; Barbara Patton and her husband Scott of Fredonia, Theresa Croyle and her husband Mitchell of Franklin and Sandra Henry and her husband Aaron of New Castle; six grandchildren, Haley Patton, Hannah Patton, Haven Patton, Connor Croyle, Josie Croyle and Brooklyn Henry; and a sister, Rose Marie Nadig and her husband James of Grove City.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Robert Phillips.

Funeral arrangements entrust to Huff Funeral Home & Cremation Services Inc., 312 West Park St. Franklin where family and friends are welcome Sunday from 4:00 - 7:00 P.M.

Additional visitation will be held Monday from 10:00 A.M. - 10:45 A.M. in the funeral home where services will follow at 11:00 A.M. in the funeral home chapel with Rev. David Janz, Pastor of Christ United Methodist Church, officiating.

Interment will be at Franklin Cemetery.
