Marian Irene Fulmer

Marian Irene Fulmer, 96 of Rocky Grove, passed away at 1:41 A.M. on Thursday November 3, 2016 at her residence and surrounded by her family.

Born August 25, 1920 in Franklin she was a daughter of the late Harry and Florence Wagner Byrd.
She was a 1938 graduate of Rocky Grove High School.

From 1953-1975, she worked at Polk Center in the dietary department and served for a period of time as supervisor of the department.

Irene and her late husband traveled extensively throughout the continental United States visiting every state. They also traveled to Daytona to attend NASCAR races and took cruises to Mexico. They loved to camp and boat at their cottage, Willowbay. Above all, she loved spending time with her family. She was an avid Atlanta Braves fan. She was very fond of her beloved cat, Bambi.

On her 19th birthday, she married Homer D. Fulmer and he preceded her in death on November 7, 1997.

Surviving are three grandchildren, Debi Lehr and her husband Joey of Erie, Darlene Heffernan and her husband David "Hump" of Sugarcreek and Jodi Baker-Lewis of Cochranton; a sister, Eleanor Renninger of Franklin and a brother-in-law, Paul Adams of Erie; 12 great-grandchildren, Christopher McKain and wife Leslie of Oil City, David Stover of Oil City, Jessica Lutz and her husband Jimmy of Oil City, and Toni Huffman and her husband Terry of Erie, Russell Gregory Jr. and his companion Melissa of Oil City, Matthew Gregory Sr. of Franklin, Jason VanWormer of Oil City, Lacey Van Wormer and her companion Toby of Franklin, Sarah VanWormer of Oil City, Amber Baker of Cochranton, Stephanie Kendall and her husband Bud of Cochranton and Ben Baker of Cochranton.

Also surviving are 19 great-great grandchildren, Taylor, Devon, Madison, Jennifer, Maryjane, Chance, Jordan, Brandon, Cameron, Lillie, Jacob, Destiny, Matthew Jr., Haylie, Azaria, Isaiah, Dylan, Aubrie and Lillian.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Carolyn A. Graham , a grandson, Gary D. Baker and two sisters, Bev Adams and Shirley Wygant.

Funeral arrangements entrusted to Huff Funeral Home & Cremation Services Inc., 312 West Park St. Franklin where family and friends are welcome from 11:00 A.M. until 1:00 P.M. Saturday.

Funeral services will be held at 1:30 P.M. Saturday in the funeral home chapel with Rev. David Janz, Pastor of Christ United Methodist Church, officiating.

Interment will follow at Franklin Cemetery.
