Marjorie Kerr Anderson

Marjorie Kerr Anderson, 90, of Franklin, PA and Port Charlotte, FL passed away Thursday, January 31, 2019 in Florida.

She is survived by her husband of 60 years, Roger C. Anderson and three sons Stephen (Sheila), Pinellas Park FL, David (Kay), Franklin, PA, Bruce (Lee Ann), Cincinnati, OH, grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Born in Titusville, PA, Marjorie was the daughter of Charles and Edna Kerr. She leaves behind a brother Elwin (Janet) Kerr, Titusville, PA. Marjorie was proceeded in death by a brother Albert Kerr.

She was a graduate of Titusville High School, earned her undergraduate degree from Baldwin Wallace College, Berea, OH and obtained her masters in music education from George Peabody College (Vanderbilt) Nashville, TN.
Upon graduation Marjorie joined the faculty as the head of the music department at Lindsey Wilson College, Columbia, KY where she taught prior to marriage.

She continued sharing her love of music by serving local Franklin area churches, including her home church First United Methodist Church, as an on-call organist for many years.

After retiring, she spent winters in her Florida home where she was active in the Port Charlotte Methodist Church. Marjorie lived her life dedicated to her deep Christian faith, her family and friends.

Funeral arrangements entrusted to Huff-Guthrie Funeral Home & Cremation Services Inc., 312 West Park St. Franklin where family and friends are welcome from Noon - 2:00 P.M. Friday.

A funeral service will be held in the funeral home chapel at 2:30 P.M. Friday with Rev. Wade Berkey, Pastor of First United Methodist Church, officiating.

Interment will follow at Kingsley Cemetery in Townville.
