Mercedes N. Winger

Mercedes N. Winger, 89 of Franklin passed away at 5:35 A.M. Sunday December 1, 2013 at Sugar Creek Station.



Born February 17, 1924 in McKees Rocks, she was the daughter of the late Richard Charles and Caroline Catherine Boyer Miller.



She was a graduate of Keystone High School.



Mercedes worked many years at the American Greeting Card Factory formerly in Reno.



She was a former resident of Knox and Oil City and she enjoyed wintering in Florida for many years.



Mrs. Winger enjoyed crafts, traveling and sea shelling when in Florida.

She was an avid dog lover and always enjoyed having dogs over the years.

On May 5, 1967 she married Paul R. Winger and he preceded her in death on March 3, 1987.



Surviving is a daughter, Rebekah Mallory of Franklin; a grandson Shane Mallory and his wife Jamie of Franklin; four great-grandchildren, Brandon Mallory, Britney, Trenton and Dillon; three nieces, Melrose Flockhart of Atlanta, GA, Donna Kirkwood and Estelle Caldwell both of Girard; and four nephews, Blanchard Miller Jr. of Dallas, TX, Gary Miller, David Miller and Kerry Lee Miller all of Titusville.



In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by four brothers, Wilbert Miller, Stanley Miller, Archibald Miller, and Blanchard Miller; a close friend and niece Caroline Depolo and a nephew Richard Miller.



Family and friends welcome Thursday from 6:00-8:00 P.M. at Huff Funeral Home & Cremation Services Inc. 312 West Park St. Franklin.



Additional visitation will be held from 10:00 ? 11:00 A.M. Friday in the funeral home where funeral services will follow at 11:00 A.M. in the funeral home chapel with the Rev. Scott Woodlee of the Christian Missionary Alliance Church, officiating.



Interment will follow at St. Petersburg Cemetery.
