Paul Adair Hoover, 75 of 209 Union Street, Franklin died peacefully at 12:50 p.m. Sunday, April 4, 2010 at his residence. This was the home of his parents and Paul lived there all but 11 years of his life.
He was born in Franklin on September 15, 1934 a son of Charles and Virginia Reynolds Hoover. He attended public schools at Franklin.
He was employed for over 31 years as a crane operator for Joy Mining, retiring from there.
He was a member of the Uniontown Heights Sunday School and the Franklin Fraternal Order of the Eagles # 328.
He enjoyed watching his children and grandchildren play sports.
He married the former Zeetah Fay Sharrer on August 21, 1954, she survives along with three children Pamela McBride and her husband Phillip, Robert Paul Hoover and his wife Tammy, John Clair Hoover and his wife Tami, all of Franklin; 7 grandchildren, Christina Hoover, Marci Hoover and her special friend Wally Stone, Staci Hoover, Craig Hoover and his special friend Jackie Meyers, Jeremy Hoover, James Hoover, Cynthia Hoover all from Franklin; 4 great-grandchildren Mykah Stone, Emilee Hoover, Rachael Hoover, and Haylee Suttle all of Franklin; a brother Eugene Hoover, Franklin; two brother-in-laws Albert O?Neil, Franklin and Gerald Cherry and his wife Gail, Springville, N.Y.; three sister-in-laws Betty Hoover and Marcella Hoover, Franklin; Roxie Castale and her husband Ed, Munford, TN; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, two infant sons, Charles Eugene Hoover and Craig Eugene Hoover; a grandson, Corey J. McBride; five brothers, Clair, Russell, Harold, Terry and Robert Hoover.
Friends will be received in the Huff Chapel, 312 W. Park St., Franklin on Tuesday from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m.
A funeral service will be conducted in the funeral home on Wednesday at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. Paul Baker pastor of the Pilgrim Holiness Church officiating.
Interment will be made in the Franklin Cemetery.
The family suggests that donations be made to the Uniontown Heights Sunday school Memorial Fund C/O Sandy Hudson,, 1117 Old Mercer Road, Franklin, PA 16323 or a charity of ones choice.
