Paul E. Hoffman, 66, was called home Tuesday, May 4, 2010, to be with his Lord and Savior following a long-term illness. He was a resident of Trinity Living Center in Grove City, where he died. Born July 1, 1943, in Grove City, he was the son of Lloyd L. Hoffman and Elizabeth Ferringer Hoffman. He was raised in Springfield Township and educated in the Springfield Township and Grove City school systems. He was a 1963 graduate of Grove City High School, where he participated in wrestling and other extracurricular activities. He attended Bob Jones University in South Carolina for a year. Paul was honorably discharged from the United States Navy. He always greeted people with a wonderful sense of affection and caring. Paul, through his faith, was always unashamed by his testimony for Jesus Christ. He loved witnessing to people from all walks of life about his faith. He attended First Baptist Church of Grove City. Paul was single and never married. He is survived by a sister, Nancy L. Hoffman-Montgomery and her husband, James, of Ravenna, Ohio; a brother, Jack N. Hoffman and his wife, Bernice, of Reno, Nev.; and numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Raymond L. Hoffman. Calling hours will be from 6 to 9 p.m. Friday in the Jamison Funeral Home, 117 N. Main St., Harrisville. Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday in the funeral home with the Rev. David L. Johnson of First Baptist Church of Grove City officiating. Interment will follow in Old Log Cemetery, Irwin Township, Venango County. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, 320 Bilmar Drive, Pittsburgh, 15205-4620.
