Paul M. Miele born March 13, 1948 in Pittsburgh to loving and devoted parents, Anna (Petanovich) & Paul N. Miele died peacefully on October 1, 2014 in Erie, PA.

Paul moved to Polk Center in 1960 where he was a 50 year resident. He then lived independently at Franklin Towers Senior High Rise surrounded by many good friends and staff in particular: Chris Crawford, Dave Urey, Kathy Baker, Jeanie Kelsey, Robin and Frances. Paul moved into Golden Living Center in Oil City under the watchful eyes of Kim Best, Social Services and Deb in Physical Therapy. After an extended hospital stay in Pittsburgh, Paul moved to Presque Isle Nursing Home in Erie. Paul is survived by numerous cousins. He will be especially missed by Judy & George Wood, Alice & Ed Binienda and "Cousin Patty" & Tim Perkoski. Paul will be missed and fondly remembered by his many loyal & loving friends and care takers: Sr. Claire, Jack & Millie Armant, Dean & Cindy Collins, Audrey Turner, Sonya Strausbaugh, Ralph & Kathy Kessler, Louis Smith, Joe, Mike Hoffman and Howard Watkins.

Paul was known all around town - no matter what store or restaurant we took him to, someone was always coming up to him and saying, "Hello." Even though he couldn't see them he always knew their name and greatly enjoyed the encounters. Paul was an avid collector of music, Matchbox cars and friends. He loved eating at Bonanza and shopping at Walmart. He enjoyed his time spent at the Blind Association where he excelled in making beaded bracelets.

Funeral services will be held at St. Patrick Cemetery, Franklin at 10:30 a.m. Monday with the Rev. Robert Manning presiding.
