Richard L. "Dick" Goodman

Richard L. "Dick" Goodman, 81 of Franklin passed away Monday morning at Sugar Creek Station after a short battle with cancer.

Born November 30, 1933 in Norwich, NY he was a son of the late Leo H. and Genevieve Hanna Goodman.

Dick was a graduate of North Quincy High School in Massachusetts and Chamberlain Junior College in Boston, MA. He worked for 35 years at West Coast Life Insurance Company in San Francisco as a computer operator.

Dick proudly served his country in the United States Navy for five years and the United States Army for three years.

While in Franklin, Dick was active in the Allegheny Trail Association and Franklin Historic Preservation Association.

Dick was an active and faithful member of First United Methodist Church where he served as an Usher and was involved with the Men's Group.

Surviving is a son Richard "Rick" Goodman and his wife Patricia of Cloquet, MN; a sister Jean Eriksen of Jacksonville, NC; three grandchildren, Jordan Hammer, Kaitlyn Byrnes, and Lily Becea; a special friend, Lori Nutter and many cousins, nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a daughter, Elizabeth Becea.

Funeral arrangements entrusted to Huff Funeral Home & Cremation Services Inc. 312 West Park St. Franklin where family and friends are welcome from 4:00 - 7:00 P.M. Monday.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Tuesday at First United Methodist Church, 1102 Liberty St. Franklin with Rev. Jeff Little, Church Pastor, officiating.

Interment will follow at Graham Cemetery where Military Honors will be rendered by the V.E.T.S. Honor Guard.
