Rita M. Finch

Rita M. Finch, 94, formerly of 1626 Pittsburgh Rd., Franklin, passed away at the Caring Place on Monday, April 23, 2018.

Born August 8, 1923 in Oil City, she was raised by Myrtle Beatty.

She was a long time cashier of the A&P and Kroger grocery stores and known simply as Rita.

She was a member of the Grace Methodist Church and she was also a member of the Franklin BPO Elks Lodge #110, Franklin Eagles and Franklin Moose.

She was married on July 7, 1959 to Mr. Floyd Finch and he preceded her in death. Together they raised four children.

Rita enjoyed camping, traveling, and especially time spent with her family. Many family gatherings were held at Rita and Floyd's home, or at their campsite in Sandy Lake. She was a strong women and the matriarch of the family with a shoulder to lean on and kind words of support.

She is survived by son, Richard O' Claire and his wife Carol of Columbus, Ohio; daughter, Sheila Finch and her husband, Ken Lewis, of Pittsburgh; six grandchildren Richard O'Claire, II of Columbus, Ohio, Stacie Dickert-Conlin and husband, Mike, of East Lansing, Michigan, Julie Jones and husband, Ken, of Latrobe, Pennsylvania, and Kim Dickert-Wallace and husband, Patrick, of Ligonier, Pennsylvania, Robin Mullen of Philadelphia, Shannon Mullen of New York; and 12 great grandchildren and many nieces, nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband Floyd Finch, daughter, Cushie Dickert, and her son Dr. John Finch.

Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Huff-Guthrie Funeral Home & Cremation Services Inc., 312 West Park St. Franklin where family and friends are welcome from 12:00 PM - 2:00 PM on Saturday, April 28, 2018.

A funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM Saturday in the funeral home chapel.

Interment will follow at Franklin Cemetery.
