Robert A. Meanor

Robert A. Meanor, 90, formerly of Franklin, died Wednesday November 7, 2012 at Erie Presbyterian Lodge.

A son of Ralph and Etta Moore Meanor he was born in Worthington on May 23, 1922.

Robert served in the US Army as a radio operator during World War II.
He retired from General Telephone Company in 1983 after 35 years of service.
Robert was a lifelong member of Grace Lutheran Church in Franklin. He enjoyed golfing, fishing and working crossword puzzles.

On November 17, 1951 he married the former Mary Ellen Ross; she died July 8, 2010.

Surviving are a daughter Jane Connors and her husband Roger of Girard, a son-in-law Damon Homich of Girard and three grandchildren Laura Connors, Leah Homich and Zachary Homich.

In addition to his parents and wife he was preceded in death by a daughter Carol Homich and two brothers John and Albert Meanor.

Friends will be received in the Huff Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 312 W. Park St. from 10-11 a.m. Saturday. Funeral services will be held in the funeral home at 11 a.m. Saturday with the Rev. Philip Scherr, pastor of the Good Hope Lutheran Church officiating.

Interment will follow in the Franklin Cemetery.
