Robert J. Mccullough

Robert J. McCullough, 86, of Seneca died at 3:30 p.m. Thursday June 18, 2009 at The Caring Place. A son of John R. and Mary Beatty McCullough he was born in Oil City on July 6, 1922. He was a graduate of Franklin High School.
Mr. McCullough was employed at Joy for 44 years. At the time of his retirement in 1984 he was a drum inspector.
Mr. McCullough served in the U.S. Army.
He was affiliated with the Seneca Evangelical Congregational Church. An outdoorsman he enjoyed hunting, fishing, golfing and gardening. On August 26, 1944 he married the former Imogene L. Cubitt, she died January 1, 1996. He married Florence Reib Cummings on August 30, 1997. She survives along with a step-daughter Lynn Cummings Wilson and her husband Jon of Franklin; two nephews Dan McCullough and his wife Sandra of Linesville and Don McCullough of Minnetonka, MN; two nieces Dr. Linda Williams of Ligonier and Sally Holets of Monongahela.
In addition to his first wife he was preceded in death by a brother Pressley Leonard McCullough, a sister Myrna N. Linn and two nephews James L. and William L. McCullough.
Friends will be received in the Huff Chapel, 312 W. Park St. from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. Sunday. Funeral services will be held in the funeral home at 10 a.m. Monday with the Rev. Pat Ellis, pastor of the Heckathorn United Methodist Church officiating. Interment will follow in the Brandon Cemetery.
