Ron R. Baker

Ron R. ?Grease? Baker, 54, of 504 Pone Lane, died at 3:23 p.m. Friday, July 1, 2011 in the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center in Pittsburgh.

He was born on April 10, 1957 a son of Janet Dunn Eakin and Robert Paul Baker. He was raised by his mother and step-father George ?Boo? Eakin.

He graduated from Rocky Grove High School in 1975.

Ron was co-owner of Eakin Auto where he has been employed since 1972.

He followed all the local high school sports and enjoyed watching sports of all kinds. He loved his many trips to Florida but he especially enjoyed having fun with his family and his favorite phrase was ?I Love My Life?

He was married to the former Kristy L. Smith on October 21, 1988 and she survives along with two daughters Rachel R. Baker and Lindsey L. Baker both of Franklin; his mother Janet Eakin, Franklin; his father Robert Paul Baker, Culver City, CA; three sisters and a brother, Pat Osborne, Franklin; Linda Sue Saxon, Tucson, AZ; Steve Baker and his wife Roberta, Franklin; Pam Mensavage and her husband Dave, Danville, VA and dozens of nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his father George ?Boo? Eakin, his father-in-law F. Keith Smith and his dog Dutchess.

Friends will be received in the Huff Chapel, 312 W. Park St., Franklin on Tuesday from 2-4 and 5-9 p.m.

A funeral service will be held in the First United Methodist Church, Franklin on Wednesday at 11:00 a.m. with the Rev. Jeff Little, pastor of the Church officiating.

Interment will be made in the Graham Cemetery.
