Ronald Dean Sopher

Mr. Ronald Dean Sopher, 56, of River Hills Ct., Taylorsville,NC passed away Tuesday, May 3, 2016 at Frye Regional Medical Center.

Mr. Sopher was born May 11, 1959 in Mercer County, PA to Dessie Marie Fix Sopher of Taylorsville and the late Jack Blaine Sopher.

He attended Grace Baptist Church in the Bethlehem Community.

After completion of high school, Ronald joined the US Air Force, where he became a flight engineer. After he was discharged, he became a flight engineer for commercial airlines.

Including his mother, those left to cherish his memory include: a brother, Gerald Blane Sopher; two nieces, Rosemarie Sopher of Austin, TX and Kirstend Sopher of St. Louis, MO.

The family will receive friends from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Monday, May 9, 2016 at Jamison Funeral Home, 117 N. Main St., Harrisville. Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. in the funeral home.

Burial will follow in the Mt. Irwin Cemetery.
