Sally A. Shaffer

Sally A. Shaffer, 74 of Rocky Grove went home to be with her Lord at 10:15 A.M. on Friday March 7, 2014.

Born December 10, 1939 in Franklin, she was a daughter of the late Wilber Shawgo and Bertha Almeda Perrine.

She was a 1957 graduate of Cranberry Area High School.

Mrs. Shaffer worked for many years as a book keeper at Sehman Tire Service.

She was affectionately known as "Gram" to everyone.

Sally's world revolved around her grandchildren and great-grandchildren and she attended every possible gymnastics tournament, wresting match, and horse shows of theirs that she could.
She loved puzzle books, playing bingo and cards and also enjoyed being a member of her card club.

On July 9, 1957 she married Byrl "Pete" Shaffer at Christ United Methodist Church in Franklin and he survives.

Also surviving are two daughters; Pamela Boal of Franklin and Debra Krizon and her husband Jason of Raymilton; eight grandchildren, Amy Jones and her husband Dale of Franklin, Leigh Ann Boal and her fiancé Wayne of Franklin, Gary Boal Jr. and his wife Sue of Franklin, Cristina Rice and her husband John Jr. of Franklin, Specialist Peter Boal and his wife Angela of Fort Sill, OK, Mark Boal and his fiancé Nikki of Franklin, Nathanael and Nicholas Krizon of Raymilton.

She is additionally survived by eight great-grandchildren; Nyk Beer, Dawson Jones, Daymian Boal, Kylie Boal, Conner Jones, Justyne Boal, Taylor Boal and Lillian Rice; one sister, Judy Soltis of North Madison, OH and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Linda Boocks, a great-granddaughter, Chayla Boal and five half sisters.

Family and friends welcome Monday from 2:00 - 5:00 P.M. at Huff Funeral Home & Cremation Services Inc. 312 West Park St. Franklin.

Funeral services will be held at 5:00 P.M. in the funeral home chapel.

Interment will be made at Franklin Cemetery.
